45 rpm Record Collection
I will be auctioning this collection of 8000 blues, soul, rhythm and blues,
funk, jazz and gospel 45s during late 2010 and most of 2011. The first installment
of nearly 2000 items was in my Auction #45 which closed on September 15th, 2010.
I usually do three auctions a year closing in January, May and September. I also
have set price sales selling the unsold items from the previous auction in conjunction
with the next one. The set sales are only on the internet. No hard copy catalog is available.
I give advance notice by email of when, exactly, the set sales will be posted. They are on
a first come, first serve basis, so that way everyone has an equal chance. There is a subscription form
for my email mailing list at the bottom of the BLUES WORLD cover page.
The terms of my auction are:
(1) the minimum bid is five dollars.
(2) I reserve the right to decline any bid I feel is unreasonably low.
(3) you bid what the item is worth to you. If yours is the high bid you win it
for that amount.
(4) On items where you have bid two hundred dollars or more I offer call backs
so that if your bid is topped you have the opportunity to compete for the
record until only one bidder remains. Each bidder has a maximum of 24 hours
(to allow for different time zones, jobs, etc.)
to respond however most competitions usually get settled the night the auction
closes.
(5) Payment (by cash, check, Paypal or money order) is expected within 30 days of
the close of the auction. A 2% premium for payment by Paypal is appreciated.
(6) All records are guaranteed. If you are dissatisfied return promptly in condition
received for a full refund including return postage.
(7) My grading scale for the 45s is M-, VG++ (the equivalent of E, EE+ or E+ in my 78
scale), VG+ (the equivalent of E-, V++ and V+ in my 78s scale), VG and VG-.
(8) I have tried to describe label variants that seem relevant, however if the variant
is not specified and it matters to you, contact me and I will tell you which color, font,
design etc. it is.
