King Ernest & The Wild Knights

King Ernest grew up in New Orleans and spent thirty ye Chicago Blues and R&B scene. He's a nephew oBland and has an affinity for the old Duke/Peacock sound, As King performs r Parker's "Drivin' Wheel" and "Worried Life Blues" in his live sets.

But King has more going for him than just blues repertory-Ernest released several singles, including his biggest hit, "That's When I Woke Up" on Mercury.

As of Chicago's top entertainers through the sixties and seventies, King Ernest headlined Chicago's hippest, hottest nightclubs. For the last decade Ernest has been singing gospel in Los Angeles. Now, under the stewardship of Randy Chortkoff, Ernest and his band the Wild Knights, King Ernest has returned to the R&B scene.
